How do you decide who is offered a property?

  1. Home
  2. How do you decide who is offered a property?

The successful person is usually the applicant who makes best use of the property, has the highest priority and is the relevant quota category.

Best use is a term we use to describe the way we match applicants to a particular property type. For example, a wheelchair user would make best use of a wheelchair accessible property.

The level of priority someone is awarded depends on their situation. We award priority for a number of different situations.

We operate a quota system. This means that we try to allocate a set number of properties to households who fall into one of three specific categories. For more detail on quotas click here.

You can find more detail about all of the above in our Lettings Policy.
