What are quotas and how do they work?

  1. Home
  2. What are quotas and how do they work?

We operate quotas to support fair allocation of our homes and help create sustainable and balanced communities. We try to allocate a set percentage of properties to applicants who fall into one of three categories. These categories are:

  1. Homeless: applicants who are homeless or threatened with homelessness
  2. Transfer: any social tenant whose landlord is part of the Link Group of companies
  3. General: all other applicants who do not fall into the Homeless or Transfer category

When a property is advertised, a category is applied to the property automatically so that applicants within that category are more likely to be offered the property. This allows us to help households who are homeless while also giving opportunities to applicants in other categories.
